4:48 pm - woohoo!
My mom just went to the post office and got muppet stamps, and they ROCK!! (It's even got the swedish chef!!)

Plus the cell phone my mom got for me came today. (I still had to pay $25 for the phone, so no, it's NOT total mooching)

Just kinda sad, I only have one number in there right now, since I only know Angela's cell number and no one else's....

8:51 pm - oops
nevermind about the hair stuff, apparantly the stuff I got done wasn't even supposed to show up that good. (or at least as good as I thought) We went back today to a different supercuts, and the lady told us it wasn't really supposed to make my hair lighter, since it wasn't replacing my original hair color.

So I instead got bleached highlights for a $5 tip today.

5:50 pm - small rant, big problem
Never go to SuperCuts to get your hair dyed!!! Currently mucho pissed off at them... I went today to get my hair dyed, paid $45, and I don't really see a difference besides it being a tad bit lighter. It would've made more of a difference if I had paid them twice that much to bleach it and add a little red in.... but for now I'm stuck with hair roughly the same color (though according to my mom more red in the sunlight), and without $45 that I had this morning.

Arrrgg!

current mood: pissed off

lalalala. School starts in four days...... and I'm spending most of that time babysitting and housesitting for neighbors..... which reminds me, I need to go take care of a neighbor's cats.... I woke up about 20 minutes ago, they're probably feeling so neglected.

Funny thing is my school ID actually turned out alright... but ARGG why must councilors never be available after 3?? I would SO have added Design or something to my schedual last Monday, but since the administrator people were being total bitches I spent the whole time (frikkin' 3 hours, from 1:20-3:30) standing in lines surrounded by people, wanting mostly just to go home and lay down (I was feeling weak 'cause I had had two different puking spells between 12:30-1 am that morning), shaking badly. And I finally could sneak into the counciling office at, like. 3:20 or something to sign up for a meeting tomorrow, right before they closed the doors.

So I had to go back on Tuesday to get a locker. At least I saw Julie, and we talked for a couple minutes before she had to run off and be all Link Leader-y. And I don't think that the freshmen and sophmores are getting shorter each year anymore, while I was there weaving through the groups of them I was the one feeling short......

Ooo, so I went to this acting workshop thingy last night for 4 hours, and it was.... strange. In some parts. I'd have to say the creepiest part for me was when this one guy was supposed to be acting as if he was flirting with my stepmom (who's in her mid 50s or something, and the guy was my age), and the teacher guy made him practice flirting on me. Problem for me was, I spent the whole class (even before this time) thinking about how he kinda looked like he could be Laura's brother..... (Does Laura even have a brother??)

Man, this stinks. This is my last day in Utah for the Shakespear Festival, and I just realized I got NO pictures of the festival. Sure, we weren't allowed to take pictures during the plays, but I was gonna take pictures today during this preshow thingy that we were allowed to take pictures at, but it started raining, and I didn't go.

I kinda wish we were staying longer, though. There's this one show that I want to watch, and I couldn't watch it last time they put it on 'cause I was watching A Midsummer's Night's Dream. (Doctor Faustus was the one that I wanted to see.)

So, anyway.... I've been spending this month at my dad's house 'cause my mom and stepdad were going into California for a month and I didn't want to spend tat long there. (Garrr, can't focus on what I'm saying, there's some weird person on the lobby's TV putting on a reinactment of stabbing someone yelling "five, six, seven..... nine, ten, eleven....") I'm gonna be back at my regular house allegedly on the 8th (but go for the 9th, maybe).

Oh, and if you hate heat, don't go to Utah. (I'm not holding a real train of thought, if you can't tell) It's rained tonight, and in the lobby of the hotel (where they have the internet access) it is SO FRIGGIN HOT. It even sounds like they have a fan on, but I can't feel anything....

So, yeah, haven't been doing much interesting at my dad's house. I've gotten a few movies on DVD (Troy and Phantom of the Opera), and I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory twice in four? days. Not the same as the original, but still funny enough. (That Willy Wonka is evil, though.....) One of the things I found most funny about the movie was the fact that Willy Wonka's dad was Christopher Lee. (So it's the evil Saruman as an evil dentist!! Le gasp!!)

Oooo, okay, so when we first got here to Utah we went on a hike in Bryce Canyon, and I thought I would hate it, but then it was really hot, which sucked, but it was cool because we were surrounded by people who spoke French and German. (There were maybe only two or three other groups that we passed that spoke English, compared to about 7 French groups, 6 German groups, and some sort of Oriental group or two, though I couldn't tell if they were Chinese, Japanese, or Korean)

So the show's I went to see here were Romeo and Julet (last show, saw it today, wasn't that great at all.... got so bored by it. At least it was funny to watch Romeo go into some sort of 5 year old girl tantrum on the stage). Then was Midsummer's Night's Dream, which rocked. The actors did such a good job, and I have to say, the guy who doubled as Oberon/Theseus was HOTT. (He's too old for me anyway, though) The first one we saw was Stones in his Pockets, which was most excellent as well. There was two guys playing about 15 parts..... and both of them had at least one female part. (If I get access to a scanner, I can scan the front of the booklet thingy, which has a picture of the two guys.)

It's just weird to see this maybe 40ish? year old guy being his regular character at one second, and then seeing him turn around and suddenly flop on the floor (it was from outside this trailer to inside a trailer.) and do yoga as the other guy walks in. (-seductive voice- "hhhhiiiii")

Yeah, and there's this preshow that you can take pictures at (obviously), and I went yesterday 'cause the first night we were here we didn't watch all of it since we went inside due to the rain. There were these vendors walking around trying to sell (I think) tarts, chocolates, and lollipops.... at least.... and so I was sitting by this tree near the stage, and one of the guys selling tarts walked past. He was trying to yell to get people to buy the tarts and said something like this:

"Buy my tarts! At least take a look at my tarts.... then the image will be burned into your mind all night until you buy one....."

I couldn't help but start laughing after this, and it was only 'cause I was able to laugh quietly that nobody looked at me like a maniac.

And speaking of maniacs..... It was sad, during the day on.... ummm.... Thursday, maybe, my parents and I stopped in on this outside theater to watch this elementary school presentation of Midsummer's Night's Dream. They totally butchered it, so I guess it was good for Elementary Schools, but I could only watch about 45 seconds of it before I had to leave since it was so horrible... They had translated many of the lines from Shakesperian to a failed attempt at modern day words. (so there's this little blonde Oberon in a black velvet robe or something yelling at Titania "You're a maniac!" since she wouldn't give him the indian boy. And the fairies had to sing after Robin Goodfellow asked who they were)

Yeah, I should probably get off now..... there's only one computer with internet here and people are scaring me by walking behind me..... hope my iPod's chared by now....

Your Summer Anthem is Behind These Hazel Eyes by Kelly Clarkson

Broken up, deep inside
But you won't get to see the tears I cry
Behind these hazel eyes

Your summer will be marked by heartache - but mostly happiness.

Well okay. Guess I should borrow that CD from April now to actually have HEARD the song.....

Just tried again on the radio thingies for free tickets to.... Bewitched, I think. Not sure, since I basically woke up to the radio going off and being all "call us, tell us this old TV show theme!" Wasn't going to call, groggily thought "The Truman Show", changed my mind to "The Andy Griffith Show". Heard Bewitched was really bad, just decided to try to see if I could get the tickets 'cause they would be free. They already had a winner once I got through, which kind of figures since I kept getting the busy signal for longer than usual. *shrug*

Oooo, they just announced it, and Andy Griffith was right. =) okay, might go back to sleep now.... so groggy right now I don't really care about the ticket dealie....

In other words... mmmm, fireworks Monday.... *drool* and 12 days to my birthday, too......

Leave it to someone else's parent to make you feel crummy about your decisions.

So I babysit tonight, the kids' mom is coming back anywhere between 10 and 10:30, so they're already in bed. Tons of the neighborhood kids decide to sleep out in tents on the lawn. By tons of kids, I mean TONNES of kids, enough to have the other parents whip out five different tents, one big one, one medium, and three smaller ones. One of the kids I'm watching gets invited over to sleep in the tents, and I'm left with the 'parental' decision of whether the kid gets to go or not.

My logic of letting her go (which I did):
1. I did this before when I was younger, it's okay.
2. There's 5 tents worth of kids out-- more people, less danger.
3. 5 tents worth of kids means 5 tents worth of kid's parents have said okay, and are on alert over the tents in case anything goes wrong.
4. This kid I was watching was INVITED over, meaning that the other kid's parent was specifically willing to pay attention to the kid I'm watching.

So I say okay, she can go, and I'll let her mom know that she's in the tent when she gets back, but as long as she can get fully ready for bed really quickly. She does, she goes, lalala!!

Then the kid's mom gets home, I tell her, and she kinda freaks out at first. "She's outside??" I tried to reassure her and explain my logic, and after a minute she calms down and claims my choice of letting her go was okay. But it still makes me feel like I did something wrong, since the first thing this parent does is bug out. Maybe I'm at wrong here, since she just got back from a movie, totally clueless, and then finds out her kid's sleeping outside witout her knowing.

I'm feeling like I probably deserve to be fired from several of the families I babysit for, and I have no idea why they keep coming back to have me babysit for them. Maybe it's because their kids are still alive after it's all over.

current mood: tired and soggy

Why can't Ana, Michelle and I start filming our movie already so I can get my mind off of things?! And why do people in businesses always redirect you to different places? I'm trying to get permission to use three lil' songs in our move, so I mail the email on the site first. They redirect me to a totally different email so I email that one. I just got a reply from that one saying they want me to mail or fax this other guy. In Australia.

Who will probably send a reply in 2 weeks, when I'm at my dad's house AWAY from the locations we want to film at, saying I need to ask someone else.

It's easier just to get permission rather than try to edit your music down to a certain amount..... hahahaha I laugh at the stupid ignorant me of about 5-7 days ago!!!

Why don't we just use their music and not tell them?? It's not like they're gonna see the movie anyway.....

I feel lazy. One of my goals this summer was to call people and do stuff, but June's already two weeks in and I haven't called ANYONE except for the people I hang out with regularly. This is not going well AT ALL, but then again, I really don't know what to call them about...... I would call to do stuff, but most of these people I don't know well enough to know what types of things would be good to do or not....

I really don't know if I should call people this summer to get to know them better or wait until next year..... argg! What to do, what to do?!?!

How is it possible to be angry at someone that you've never really spoken to at all?

I do that for this guy at my school... was just thinking about it, and I've only spoken to him once, I think, at the beginning of the year. I overheard him saying stuff about twice, I think, and yet just thinking about those few times pisses me off so much.

I don't get it. How come I get mad at him and I've never -really- spoken to him? I mean, I still think he's an asshole, but I've really got no reason to support it.....

I have to say...... I'm liking the second one a bit better..... sure I'm more for the light side, but I really don't have a preference to the two. The dark side is more fun, but they also get maimed and have froggy looking guys on their side, while for the second one I've got cooler weapons and less of a chance to lose a limb.

AlbinoPhoenix is worn out.
Sleep when you're dead! Whether it's emotionally or physically, you're exhausted. Have you considered sleeping pills? I took them when I had mono, and they made everything better.
brought to you by interim32. wanna know your lj's moodring color? enter your user name and hit the button. (discussion thread)

Yeah. I am so worn out it's not even funny. Actually, I think according to LJ I AM worn out a lot of the time, since I usually just post on here at night or in the morning when I'm dead tired and letting my mind wander.... to good stuff, stuff I want, or stuff that pisses me off, y'know?

Your Expression Number is 8
Driven and ambitious, you have the potential to reach great things.
You're both good with money and good at getting things done quickly.
You are an excellent leader and a great judge of character.

Full of energy and confidence, you undertake projects that seem impossible.
Dependable and determined, you are able to understand the bigger picture.
Even if you are not in a position of power right now, it will fall to you.

At times, you can be very materialistic - and obsessed with status and power.
While this isn't always a bad thing, you sometimes take it to the extreme.
In order to be truly happy, you must balance the material and spiritual in your life.

Okay, so the first two paragraphs are not me AT ALL. I HATE being in a position of responsibility and power. In school, I'm the one doing what everyone else says. The only times recently when I've been kinda in control and responsible is when planning to get together with friends, 'cause they're bums and not really planning stuff.....I had to bug April a lot to get her to actually choose the time and date for the movie that she was supposed to be planning..... and the last party we had was mainly me bugging people and Angela actually responding quickly, and me going "Okay, so when's good?" and her going "I dunno, whenever." and me going "Sunday, be here.".... so I bug them loads.

But, jah, I already knew I was obsessed with status, and where I stand with other people.... If I don't know, it bugs me until I forget, and I am so self centered, you know? New shiny things are good, I guess....

3:23 pm - Michael Jackson
Just turned on the news randomly, since it's what was on on WB--- they found Michael Jackson not guilty on all charges.

Just in case anyone reading this (out of the few, what, three?) wanted to know and didn't.

One thing I'm wondering now, though, is what were the 10 charges? I thought he was in court only for the rumor of molesting children..... but that's only one.....

I just tried winning tickets for Batman Begins on the radio by answering this trivia question thingy. It was for Katie Holmes on Dawson's Creek, which I've never seen at all, but I actually knew the answer due to warning and the internet. (yessss....)

I was caller 8, not caller 9
